PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic lubricant that includes acrylic polymer having a relatively low molecular weight. SOLUTION: The synthetic lubricant comprises an acrylic polymer having (a) Mn of at least 1,000 and less than 20,000, (b) at least one kind of alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer residue having 2-6C alkyl group, and (c) terminal reactive group originating from the radical chain transfer agent.
