PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device capable of setting the optimal speech level without having to conduct manual operations, when being used, by connecting a voice input/output device via a wireless communication line. SOLUTION: Registration name information of a headset 2, to be connected to a storage section 107 of a telephone set main body 1, is registered in association with a transmission gain correction value and a reception gain correction value; and when the headset 2 is to be connected, the registration name information is acquired from the headset 2 by utilizing authentication procedures on a wireless communication channel and registered by a BT (Bluetooth (R)) unit 105. In a main control section 106, the transmission gain correction value and the reception gain correction value, corresponding to the registration name information, are read from the storage section 107; and on the basis of these transmission gain correction value and reception gain correction value, the gains of a receiver amplifier and a transmitter amplifier in a voice processing section 102 are controlled.
