PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device realizing a display of high quality by stabilizing discharging property of electron beam from an electron source by cutting off the effect of an electric field generated at an anode draw-out wire as a high voltage supply source on an electric field of the electron source part. SOLUTION: The image display device has an anode terminal 14 electrically contacting a metal-back 17 formed on inside face of a front panel 2, and an anode draw-out wire 18 of which one end side is connected to the anode terminal 14 and the other end side penetrates through a through hole 7 and airtightly sealed to an exhaust tube 4. The electric field generated at the anode draw-out wire 18 can be shielded by arranging an electric field shielding body 19, shielding the electric field generated at the anode draw-out wire, between the metal-back 17 and image signal wiring 8.
