摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to identify in-range sensor faults in a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: This system identifies in-range sensor faults by the quality observation of parts in pursuit and the recognition of an abnormal quality change patterns corresponding to sensor errors in an embedded model 10. The embedded model is used to estimate the sensing parameters 54 like rotor revolution speed, temperatures and pressures, as well as other parameters calculated from input parameters. Main rotary parts of an engine 40 including a fan 12, a compressor 14, a burner 24, a turbine 16, 18, a duct 30, nozzles 26, 32 are respectively turned into individual models. Sensor faults are detected through the identification of abnormal patterns of the parts quality parameters 54. An abnormal pattern library is provided to compare quality parameters generated by a tracking filter 48 with the abnormal pattern library. Upon their agreement, the tracking filter will exclude the sensor at issue, and the estimation model parameters 54 are used to avoid the aggravation of model quality parameters 50.
