PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air quantity detection device for an internal combustion engine capable of sufficiently securing opportunities of learning correction value for correcting detected intake air quantity and of appropriately detecting intake air quantity thereby. SOLUTION: The intake air quantity detection device 1 includes an intake air quantity sensor 11 detecting quantity of intake air as detected intake air quantity QA, estimates quantity of intake air as estimated intake air quantity ESQA according to a detected operation condition NE of the internal combustion engine 3 (step 34), learns a correction value CLQA for correcting the detected intake air quantity based on the detected intake air quantity QA detected when operation conditions NE, AP of the internal combustion engine 3 are predetermined operation conditions and the estimated intake air quantity ESQA estimated then (steps 23-27), determines reflection degree parameter KRE indicating degree of reflecting the correction value CLQA in correction of the detected intake air quantity QA according to the detected intake air quantity QA (step 41 shown in Fig. 10 ), and corrects the detected intake air quantity QA with using the corrected value CLQA and the determined reflection degree parameter KRE (step 42).
