PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soxlet extraction apparatus in which all desired components can be extracted in a shorter time and which causes no harm to the environment, is manufactured easily and has stability. SOLUTION: The soxlet extraction apparatus 1 is characterized in that a cooler 3 is mounted on a solvent vessel 2 in which a filter cup 7 and an extraction cup 11 for housing the filter cup are housed and a solvent 8 put in the solvent vessel 2 is heated to extract desired components from a sample S in the filter cup 7 and the extraction cup 11. The upper part of the cooler 3 is closed freely, and the filter cup 7 is prepared so that the position of a mouth 7-1 of the filter cup 7 is higher than that of a mouth 11-1 of the extraction cup 11 when the filter cup 7 is housed in the extraction cup 11, and an agitating bar 12 is housed in the filter cup. A branched conduit 13 is arranged between the upper part of the solvent vessel 2 and the lower part of the cooler 3, and a heater 14 is arranged in the lower part of the solvent vessel 2 or on the side thereof.
