PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for producing metal powder where spherical Ni particulates with a uniform particle size of 0.1 to severalμm can be synthesized. SOLUTION: A plurality of raw material vessels 14, 15 for storing raw materials are provided, and, in a plurality of vaporizing parts, raw materials in the respective raw material vessels are heated and vaporized. In the first reaction part, the vapor of the raw materials jetted from a nozzle 17a and gaseous H<SB>2</SB>jetted from a nozzle 17b are reacted, so as to obtain metal particulates. In the second reaction part, the metal particulates, the vapor of the raw materials jetted from a nozzle 17c, and gaseous H<SB>2</SB>jetted from a nozzle 17d are reacted, so as to grow the metal particulates.
