PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular retractable roof capable of effectively preventing water droplets from getting inside a cabin while the roof is being stored. SOLUTION: A roof R is divided into a front roof part 1 and a rear roof part 2. A storage mechanism is designed to move both the front roof part 1 and the rear roof part 2 rearward for storing them in a storage room 8 of the rear part of the vehicle. The storage mechanism includes a rotatable arm 6 extending from the rear of the vehicle. A slot 62 is formed in a tip end 61 of the rotatable arm 6, where a pin 51 arranged at a rear end part 12 of the front roof part 1 is movably inserted. The pin 51 is relatively moved within the slot 62 in accordance with upward and rearward movement of the tip end 61 of the rotatable arm 6, and during relative movement, the front roof part 1 inclined downward in the forward direction as the rear end part 12 is raised without moving backward. Thus, the water droplets on the upper surface of the front roof part 1 are made to flow toward the vehicle outer surface of a front window part 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
