Provided is an information selection device capable of simplifying the operation for selecting a program to be recorded and easily recognizing the selected state. The device includes: an OSD unit (9) for searching a plurality of information, generating a list containing the name of the searched information and the like, and displaying the list; an operation unit (14) used for selecting information to be recorded on a hard disc (3A) from the searched information, by using the list displayed; and a CPU (12) for recording the instruction information indicating the selected information to be recorded and reporting that the information to be recorded and indicated by the stored instruction information has been selected.
