The invention relates to the use of pleuromutilin derivative of formula (I), i. e., valnemulin, in a free base or in a veterinary acceptable salt form for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of swine colitis associated with microorganism Serpulina pilosicoli. Disclosed is also the use of valnemulin in a free base or in a veterinary acceptable salt form in the treatment of other veterinary diseases the expression of which is enhanced by increasing stocking density. |
