The invention relates to a control device for a motor vehicle gearbox, in particular a control device which is built into a motor vehicle gearbox, comprising a housing consisting of a lower housing part (3), a housing seal (4) and an upper housing part (5). Said housing contains a printed circuit board (8) whereon an angle position sensor (6) provided with an angle position sensor electronic system (7) and an angle position sensor magnet (10) comprising a magnet support (11). A hydraulic plug and a sensor system plug (14) is arranged on the lower housing part (3), which is connected to an electronic gearbox control system (9) via a printed circuit board (15), said electronic gearbox control system being in contact with the printed circuit board (8). The control device comprises a selector shaft lever (1) which is mounted on the outside of the housing with the aid of a selector shaft (2). The invention enables the selector shaft lever (1) of a gearbox control to be mounted in an advantageous manner on the outside of said housing (3, 5). Said gearbox control is particularly suitable for gearbox controls which are built into in the engine compartment, directly on the gearbox of a motor vehicle.
