METHOD OF PROVIDING LISTENER WITH SOUNDS IN PHASE AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method and an apparatus for providing a listener with in-phase sounds are provided to give the in-phase sounds to the listener with a simple configuration and a low cost by directly calculating a delay time to make in-phase by measuring an amplitude of the synthesized sound. In a method for providing a listener with in-phase sounds by controlling the sound volume according to the position of the listener in an audio system, two audio signals having the same amplitude and opposite phase are generated. One audio signal is delayed by a fixed delay constant rather than the other audio signal. The two audio signals are supplied to a first sound conversion part(130) and a second sound conversion part(140) respectively. Sounds generated in the first and second sound conversion parts at the position of the listener are synthesized, and then the synthesized sound is collected and the amplitude of the synthesized sound is determined. The delay constant minimizing the amplitude of the synthesized sound is obtained.
