<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner attaining power-saving in the air cleaner which is provided with a discharge electrode and a counter electrode and which makes polluted air clean by applying voltage therebetween. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner 1 is provided with the linear or acicular discharge electrode 2 and the counter electrode 15 is arranged at a position remote from the discharge electrode 2 by predetermined length. At the counter electrode 15, water 5 sinks into a water permeable wall part 3 and leaks to an inner peripheral surface 13 side of a discharge electrode 2 side. A gas detector 21 and a dust detector 22 are provided above the inside of the air cleaner 1. Air 8 is made to pass through the gas detector 21 and the dust detector 22 and then is sent to a corona discharge 12 to decrease pollutants in the air 8. Gas and dust are respectively and independently detected and an impressed voltage regulating device 20 regulates impressed voltage impressed between the electrode 2 and the electrode 15 to attain preferable power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
