PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of retrieving accurately a road in address retrieval, and displaying the result. SOLUTION: This device has steps for: setting a map display coordinate in each administrative district relative to a road crossing a plurality of administrative district boundaries; retrieving a road having the map display coordinate in an administrative district specified by retrieval information when the retrieval information is inputted; and displaying the road on a display based on the map display coordinate of the retrieved road. Hereby, road display can be switched in each administrative district, for example, when the road is retrieved in A district, the map display coordinate in the A district is used, and when the road is retrieved in B district, the map display coordinate in the B district is used, as shown in figure 5(b).
