PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust tension of a belt and a chain provided at a power transmission mechanism, without sacrificing the cooling efficiency of the generator body, and other equipment housed. SOLUTION: A driving pulley 21 is provided at an input shaft 4, which is projectingly provided outside a housing 3, a driven pulley 22 is provided at the rotating shaft 11 of the generator body 10, a pulley belt 23 is put on both of the pulleys 21, 22, and a tension adjusting mechanism is provided, with which the driving pulley 21 is movable in a direction in which the distance between both of the pulleys 21, 22 is changeable, and the distance between both of the pulleys 21, 22 is fixed. Moreover, a cooling fan 14 is fitted to the rotating shaft 11, wherein the fan generates a flow of cooling air which enters an air inlet 16 provided at the casing of the generator body 10 and is exhausted to an exhaust vent 17, the generator body 10 is interposed and arranged in an opening 34, formed at a partition panel 37 (37a) which divides the inside of the housing 3 into two chambers 38, 39, then the air inlet 16 and the exhaust vent 17 are made open at the respective separate chambers 38, 39.
