PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which can be used easily and conveniently, even in a state with a person sitting on a wheelchair and of which the space can be effectively utilized without waste, by taking the arrangement form of storage chambers into consideration. SOLUTION: This refrigerator consists of a refrigeration cycle to which a compressor, a condenser, a decompression device, and a cooler are connected, and the storage chambers 2, 4, 5, 6 cooled by cold air generated in the refrigerating cycle or accommodation chambers that does not accompany cooling. The storage chambers or accommodation chambers are provided with openings closed by opening/closing doors 2a, 4a, 5a, 6a in the front side, and have recessed space 3 approximately in the lower center part side in the front width direction.
