The holder is for clamping one end of a grinding paper sheet between a clamping face of a swing grinder swing plate and an adjustable clamping mechansim. There is a spring (15, 16) supported at two points (14, 33) in the tensioned condition. Between these support points (14, 33) is a tension element (35). The spring can be moved along the tensioning element in its longitudinal direction and has an inclined (34) for the tensioning element. One of the support points is formed by the clamping mechanism (13) connected with the spring and retained in the tensioned position.
