A system for recording video and speech data of high capacity and a recorded data recovery method are provided to easily find a recording location of a hard disk even though recording is stopped by an abnormal cause by storing the recording location at every period of time set in advance when data is recorded in the hard disk. A hard disk drive part drives a hard disk. An output part(20) outputs data recorded in the hard disk. A memory(30) stores a recording location of the hard disk at every period of time set in advance. A control part(26) stores the recording location of the hard disk in the memory at every period of time set in advance when video image data and audio speech data are stored in the hard disk, and outputs information of the recording location of the hard disk after termination of an abnormal system.
