NEW MARKER GENE FOR DETECTING CANCER INVASION AND METHOD FOR EXAMINING CANCER INVASION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new marker that efficiently and accurately detects an invasion being an extremely important index of cancer progress at a gene and protein level.

SOLUTION: The new cancer invasion marker uses a Dominant-negative helix-loop-helix protein inhibitor of DNA binding 2 (ID2) gene being a kind of a differentiation control factor. The method for screening a medicine for suppressing cancer invasion comprises using expression enhancement of an ID2 gene as an index.
