PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement electronic document management streamlining the management of electronic documents requiring authentication. SOLUTION: An electronic document management apparatus comprises a determination part 120 for determining whether or not the update timing of electronic signatures and time stamps of electronic documents 24 saved in a document storage part 22 must be monitored according to whether or not the expiration date of the electronic signatures and time stamps of the electronic documents 24 is before the retention date until which the electronic documents 24 must be saved, and a monitoring part 122 for monitoring the update timing of the electronic signatures and time stamps of electronic documents 24 that the determination part 120 has determined must be monitored.
