摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit knocking of an internal combustion engine when valve close timing of an intake valve is close to bottom dead center and enters in a predetermined range including the bottom dead center. SOLUTION: When valve close timing of the intake valve is close to bottom dead center and enters in the predetermined range A including the bottom dead center, knock limit ignition timing (BT-RH) used for defining ignition timing command value ST is corrected to retarding side. Then, correction by learning value AG1 or the like is applied to the corrected and retarded knock limit ignition timing (BT-RH) and ignition timing command value ST is calculated. Although the learning value AG1 is renewed when valve close timing is out of the predetermined range A, the ignition timing command value ST is inhibited from getting under a condition of over advancement since the knock limit ignition timing (BT-RH) is collected to retarding side even if ignition timing command value ST is calculated with using the learning value AG1.
