PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology, where a broadcast program of the same affiliated station can be viewed with one's favorite button number of a remote controller without difficult operations, even if channel preset is changed accompanying a shift from terrestrial analog broadcast to digital broadcast. SOLUTION: A television receiver is capable of both terrestrial analog and digital broadcast programs, stores each area channel map including affiliated station information, receives present digital broadcast area information and information regarding whether remote controller number setting for terrestrial analog broadcast is used at the ch (channel) of terrestrial D (digital) broadcast setting, specifies analog broadcast area information from the present area information, when the information indicates that the remote controller number setting has been is used, combines reception channels of the terrestrial digital broadcast with broadcast affiliated stations of the terrestrial analog broadcast, to create a new terrestrial digital broadcast ch map, and sets the map.
