PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect an address trace of a specific memory area at high speed. SOLUTION: In the address trace collection apparatus for collecting an address trace in a protected memory area, the apparatus is provided with: a segmentation fault capture mechanism for capturing a segmentation fault generating when an instruction tries to access the memory area; a memory protection cancellation mechanism for temporarily canceling protect of the memory area; an instruction simulation mechanism for simulating the instruction; an address trace output mechanism for outputting the address trace in the memory area the simulated instruction has accessed; and a memory protection mechanism for protecting the protect of the memory area again which has temporarily been canceled by the memory protection cancellation mechanism.
