PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution capable of performing transferring of a recording medium and image recording without increasing the thickness of an apparatus body, even relative to a thick recording medium such as a CD-R or the like, in a thin recording apparatus. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus is provided with a pair of rollers comprising a transfer roller 4 and a pinch roller 5 and a pair of rollers comprising paper discharge rollers and a spur, wherein the transfer roller is provided on the recording head side of the recording medium. The pinch roller and the spur are made displaceable corresponding to the thickness of the recording medium, also the paper discharger rollers are made displaceable corresponding to the thickness of the recording medium, and the spur can be set to a position preventing the spur from coming into contact with the recording medium, allowing the spur to be guided and supported with a guide shaft and a guide rail 6 on the transfer direction upstream side and downstream side of a carriage to attach the spur 9 to the guide rail 6 in a displaceable manner.
