PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently screening a substance inhibiting the activity of ADAM(a disintegrin and metalloprotease) in the skin. SOLUTION: This method for screening an anti-wrinkle agent includes a process for bringing an ADAM activating agent such as a phorbol ester and a test substance into contact with epidermal keratinocyte to detect a factor selected from the group consisting of HB-EGF, TNF-α, Amphiregulin, and TGF-αreleased from the epidermal keratinocyte.
