PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for observing the ecology of termites, for observing the ecology of the termites in a wood material. SOLUTION: This tool 1 for observing the ecology of the termites is constituted by a bait wood 2 for the termites, an acrylic plate 3a abutting on the upper surface 4 of the bait wood as a transparent material in a closely bonded state and transparent adhesive tapes 3b, 3b pasted at side surfaces 5a, 5a in a closely bonded state, and the two side surfaces 5b, 5b and a bottom surface 6 are exposed as invading regions into which the termites invades. The bait wood 2 is preferably selected from pine trees such as a Japanese black pine, Japanese red pine, Yezo spruce, etc., and also the transparent adhesive tape 3b is preferably constituted by a cellulose tape.
