A system and a method for providing a coupon service linked with TPEG-based POI service are provided to offer a high value-added TTI(Traffic and Travel Information) service while keeping compatibility with a TPEG protocol by transmitting POI-related coupon data through a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) channel, or providing the coupon data through a return channel after transmitting coupon service availability through the DMB channel. A two-way TTI data server(310) generates a POI message including coupon service availability information and provides the coupon data through the return channel according to a request of a receiver. A TTI service transmitting server(320) generates a POI message-based TPEG frame by encoding the POI message according to the TPEG protocol. A DMB server(330) transmits the POI message-based TPEG frame through the DMB. The two-way TTI data server includes a data broadcaster, a TTI service transmission linker, a POI information storing part, a return channel connector, a wireless network linker, a TTI data authoring tool, and a coupon content storing part.
