<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a water-based ink having a small particle diameter of dispersed particles and excellent printing glossiness and to provide the water-based ink. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the water-based ink comprises steps of kneading a mixture containing a pigment, a polymer having a salt-forming group, a neutralizing agent for neutralizing the polymer, an organic solvent and water with a kneading apparatus equipped with rotating blades and a stirring tank under conditions satisfying formula (1) P/(C×L)≥3,400 (1) äwherein, P represents the net power requirement [kW]; C represents the distance [m] between the tips of the rotating blades and the inner wall of the stirring tank; and L represents the length [m] of the rotating blades}. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
