<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sensor which detects the residual magnetism of paper having a magnetic substance. <P>SOLUTION: The paper sensor 10 comprises: a magnetizing body 11 disposed near a conveyance path R for conveying the paper W having the magnetic substance, and to apply a magnetic field to the conveyed paper W through a magnetizing part 22; and a magnetism detecting part 12 disposed downstream of the magnetizing body on the conveyance path R for detecting through a detection surface 23 a magnetic field produced by the residual magnetism with which the magnetic body of the paper W is charged by the application of the magnetic field by the magnetizing body. The magnetizing part 22 comprises a flat magnetizing surface 24 and a long protruding part 25 that protrudes from the magnetizing surface 24 to the conveyance path R, with its top 25a extending along the direction of conveyance of the paper W in such a manner as to be flush with the detection surface 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
