<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond material on the surface of which a thioalkylthiol is introduced, and a method for producing the same, by which the thioalkylthiol can be safely and easily introduced on the surface of the diamond substrate without using a poisonous gas and without conducting complicated operations. <P>SOLUTION: The diamond material is characterized in that a thioalkylthiol group is bonded to the surface of the diamond material. A diamond material modified with metal fine particles bonded to the surface of the diamond material through the thioalkylthiol group is also provided. The method for producing the diamond material to the surface of which a thioalkylthiol group is bonded is characterized by bonding the thioalkylthiol to the surface of the diamond material by reacting a cyclic disulfide expressed by general formula (1) (wherein, n is an integer of 1-8) with the diamond material under UV-ray irradiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
