PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus suitable for shop front demonstration, an imaging apparatus control method and an imaging apparatus control program. SOLUTION: When a release button 20 is fully depressed to input an image-pickup instruction (Yes in step S12), as described above, the picked-up image is temporarily recorded in a memory 60. The image temporarily recorded in the memory 60 is read by a VRAM 62, and a post-view (display for confirmation) of the picked-up image is displayed on a liquid crystal monitor 28. If a flash memory 58 does not have an enough residual capacity (full capacity) required for recording the picked-up image (Yes in step S14), a warning message is displayed on the post-view screen (step S16). Then, the post-view is finished after a predetermined time (e.g. few seconds) without recording the picked-up image in the flash memory 58 (pseudo imaging: step S18), and the display of the liquid crystal monitor 28 is switched to a through image display and the processing returns to the step S12.
