PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera by which enhancement of user's skill is quickened and also whose operation environment is controlled in accordance with user's skill. SOLUTION: The camera is equipped with; an imaging part for picking up an object image; a recognition part for recognizing the level of user's skill; a control part for setting the function of the imaging part according to the result of recognition by the recognition part; and an informing part for informing the user of the content of setting by the control part.
