PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device capable of changing the inclination of a movable body such as a liquid crystal TV receiver or a car navigator and keeping it constant. SOLUTION: The supporting device comprises a braking plate coaxially arranged in a casing, a holed stub having a flange face in contact with the side face of the braking plate, a sleeve having a flange face in contact with the other side face of the braking plate, a braking ring fitted into the center hole of a casing side wall and laid between the casing side wall and the flange of the stub, and an elastic body fitted to the sleeve for energizing the sleeve forward.
