PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a tubular structure of a construction machine having sufficient fatigue strength and excellent appearance while maintaining work efficiency in manufacturing work, and to provide the tubular structure of the construction machine of excellent appearance while ensuring sufficient fatigue strength. SOLUTION: Prior to performing an assembling process including a process of combining plates 4-17 to join them to one another and a process of connecting reinforcing plates 20 to the plates 14, 15, a both-side welding process is performed, that is, auxiliary plates 19 are arranged on inner side faces of the plates 14, 15 at the connection parts of the reinforcing plates 20 and the specific plates 14, 15, and fillet-welding is performed along both end faces to straddle both end faces in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary plates 19 and the inner side faces of the plates 14, 15. In the reinforcing plate connecting process, the end of the reinforcing plate 20 is brought into contact with the surface of the auxiliary plate 19 at the connection part provided with the reinforcing plate 19, and fillet-welding is performed along the end to straddle one side face of the end and the surface of the auxiliary plate 19.
