PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To approximately uniform the sizes of the inner spaces of connected loops arranged in the width direction, to control the twist and position displacement in the thickness direction of the connected loops and to improve the workability of connection operation of a seam part by the connected loops, in a papermaking felt with a seam, having a ground fabric constituting a woven fabric texture, with which connected loops are formed by the foldback of warps and both of a pair of the warps forming the connected loops are interlaced with wefts. SOLUTION: Wefts 5b composed of an assembly yarn material obtained by assembling a large number of staples or filaments or both are arranged in an area in the vicinity of the connected loops 11, the wefts 5b are flattened at intersection parts in which the wefts are brought into contact with the base parts 11a of the connected loops 11 to relax the fastening of the base parts 11a of the connected loops 11 by the wefts 5b.
