<p>Systems, methods, and computer program products for the creation, distribution, and consumption of metacontent are disclosed. An exemplary metacontent show comprises a playing span, a metacontent track within the playing span, and one or more identifiers to one or more corresponding items of network-accessible information being associated with, or embedded within, the metacontent track. The metacontent track comprises at least one of an audio track, a video track, or both, and can take the form of an audiovisual report narrated by an expert guide. The items of network-accessible information can comprise blog postings, online news articles, other types of Webpages accessible over the Internet or similar network, and even components of other metacontent shows. The identifiers facilitate access to their corresponding items of network-accessible information over the Internet or other network, and can comprise uniform resource locators (URLs), uniform resource identifiers (URIs), and/or identifiers.</p> |
