An acoustic enhancing apparatus and a method for enhancing low-frequency content are provided to prevent localization phenomenon in a head by giving externalization to an acoustic signal with enhanced low-frequency content. First and second gain control parts(110,120) control gain of first and second input signals respectively. A first addition part(130) provides a signal obtained by adding signals outputted from the first and second gain control part as an input signal of a low-frequency enhancing part(200). The low-frequency enhancing part delays and controls the gain of the signal inputted from the first addition part, and outputs a low-frequency enhanced signal by adding reflected sound signals for enhancing low-frequency contents. An externalization generation part(300) generates first and second output signals with externalization, by delaying the low-frequency enhanced signal by a first time and a second time.
