The collar has a signal unit (2), and a light reflection area (3) that includes an end section at its ends. A long elastic extensible unit (4) is fastened at its ends (4a) at the end section. A pocket-like body (5) is formed at another end section that lies at its opposite ends. The signal unit is formed from aramid fiber cloth with a polymer bandage layer, where glass lenses are provided for the formation of the reflection area and/or a fluorescence formed area. The cloth and/or the layer on a side of the reflection area is formed outside the reflection area in a fluorescent manner.
