<p>Polymeric films having a first layer of polylactic acid, a second layer of polyvinyl alcohol and at least one intermediate layer of a blend of polylactic acid with polyvinyl alcohol and/or starch, the intermediate layer or layers providing adhesion between the polylactic acid layer and the polyvinyl alcohol layer. Such films are environmentally friendly and have good impact strengths which enable them to be used to package relatively heavy loads of fresh produce such as potatoes.</p> |
