A transformer has three ring core transformers (1) that are arranged as flat and are isolated between two carrier plates (6), where the carrier plates are formed as cooling bodies (3, 5). High and low voltage circuit points are turned away from each other, where the transformers have a low voltage difference by a mechanical rotation of the transformers. A three-phase system is separated into three individual systems and is spatially arranged. The carrier plates enclose the transformers in all sides, and an interior of the plates is filled with an insulating and good heat conducting medium.
