Worm/Crown-wheel-assembly gear reducer comprising a torque limiter

A worm/crown-wheel-assembly gear reducer (1; 21) comprises a worm (4) and a crown-wheel assembly (6; 22). The crown-wheel assembly (6; 22) in turn comprises a crown wheel (8), a hub (9; 23) separate from the crown wheel (8), and a torque limiter (10; 24) designed to transmit the torque, or, once a given threshold value of the torque is exceeded, to cause the crown wheel (8) to slip with respect to the hub (9; 23). The torque limiter (10; 24) comprises:
- a first plurality of disks (11) connected mechanically to the crown wheel (8);
- a second plurality of disks (12) connected mechanically to the hub (9; 23), each disk (12) being set between two disks (11); and
- a plurality of springs (16) designed to compress between them the first plurality (11) and the second plurality (12) of disks.
