The system has a camera (4) fastened to a rear part of a vehicle for receiving an image in the rear direction of the vehicle, and transmitting the image to a control unit (2). An automotive speed sensor (5), a greed rate sensor (6) and a steering position sensor (7) are provided for detecting the movement of the vehicle. The control unit fixes a path of a front end of the vehicle into a supposition. The control unit controls a display device in such a manner that the display device displays the path on the aerial perspective view in an overlapping manner. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle parking assisting method.
