The cover (3) is for a link in a power guide chain which has two opposite end regions (7, 8) parallel to the link axis of the chain link. At least one of these end regions (8) has a wiper which can be brought up against an adjacent chain link cover. The wiper may itself be rigid, but attached flexibly to the end region of the cover.
