The vehicle has a chassis frame (10) with two crawlers, and lifting devices arranged at a longitudinal support of the frame. A contact surface of the idle crawlers is lowered while driving the vehicle along curves. The frame exhibits a chain (14) with base plates (12), which overlie on soil. A part of the base plates is lifted from the soil via the lifting devices. The lifting device consists of runners (24) that are movable over piston-cylinder arrangements (22) against the base plates. A track roller (18) is pushed against the chain over the corresponding piston-cylinder arrangements.
