<p>Blends of fly ash and polypropylene in ratios of 10-90 to 92-8 are used to make construction blocks suitable for paving, drains, roofing or moulded constructional fittings. The mixts. can be derived from cheap, industrial waste to form easy flowing moulding materials at 160-200 degrees C to make slabs etc. which are hydrophobic, strong, wear-resistant, resistant to acidic or basic chemicals and with good thermal insulation and dielectric characteristics.</p> |
