<p>An eyeglass lens processing apparatus (1) includes: a controller (100) that controls a second driver (722) for rotating lens chucks (702L,702R) for chucking an eyeglass lens (LE) and a third driver (751) for changing an axis-to-axis distance (L) between an axis of a processing tool (602) and an axis of the lens chucks (702L,702R) so that a processing load falls below an allowable value; and a processing mode selector (421a) that selects one of a first processing mode in which the allowable value is set to be high, and a second processing mode in which the allowable value is set to be low so as to suppress axis deviation when the lens (LE) having a surface slipping readily is processed. The controller (100) controls the first driver (710) so that a second chucking pressure (K2) of the lens chucks (702L,702R) when the second processing mode is selected is smaller than a first chucking pressure (K1) of the lens chucks (702L,702R) when the first processing mode is selected.</p> |
