The mat is made from an absorbent material such as cardboard or felt and comprises a foot (1) containing a recess for resting the glass in. Foam and moisture running down the side of the glass is absorbed by the mat. A moisture-impermeable film extends around the outside of the foot to keep it feeling dry.
