The arrangement has a vehicle seat, which comprises of a seat bottom part, backrest, seat pan (5) and seat frame-side parts (6) that are adjustable relative to each other, and an adjusting device for adjusting the seat position. The adjusting device has a gear connected with the seat parts, and a gear housing for accommodating the gear. A strain gauge (8) is attached at the gear housing and is designed to detect the deformation of the gear housing depending on the load that acts on the vehicle seat. The gauge emits an electrical signal corresponding to the measured load. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for evaluating a load that acts on a vehicle seat.
