PURPOSE:To facilitate control by a simple device by providing a plate-like workpiece supporting base on a frame through a two-dimensional displacement device. CONSTITUTION:A mounting base 20 provided on a frame 12 is moved laterally and swiveled to rotate the circumferential edge part of a plate-like workpiece 5 on the mounting base 20. Then, a photoelectric detector which consists of height photoelectric detectors 36 and 39 and inclination photoelectric detectors 35 and 38 and is provided with a detection head 34 extending to the circumferential edge part detects the height, inclination, and extent of priximity of the circumferential edge part by light, and on the basis on the detection results, the plate- like workpiece 5 is put close to or separated from the head, inverted, and elavated or lowered for the unevenness of a curved surface while swiveled 34. Thus, the head 34 is moved in a constant attitude to perform prescrived operation. |
