PURPOSE:To contain a tool of large bore without arranging specific programming, in an automatic tool exchanger of random selection. CONSTITUTION:An automatic tool exchanger comprises a magazine 1, housing plural tools, and a tool position identifying means 2, synchronously displaced with the magazine, in which a large bore tool memory unit, storing a large bore tool, and large bore tool storage position memory unit, storing a position capable of housing the large bore tool, are provided, when tool mounted to a main spindle and directed tool are both large bore tools or ordinary bore tools, indexing of the magazine and mount-removal of the tool are performed in accordance with a case in which one is a large bore tool and the other is an ordinary bore tool. |
